Eligibility

To be eligible for membership intake, a student must be enrolled fulltime on Austin Peay's main campus, have earned 12 course credits at APSU and have a GPA of at least 2.5. In addition to academic achievement, NPHC organizations consider a student's character and community service activities.

If I choose to join a fraternity/sorority, I waive my rights granted to me by the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 and permit APSU to release academic information about me to this sorority/fraternity, advisors associated with the chapter and inter/national headquarters. I understand that this waiver will be in effect until I notify the Office of Fraternity & Sorority Affairs, in writing, that I no longer wish to allow such information to be released. I have read and understand that above regulations and agree to abide by these rules throughout my participation in membership intake. Infractions or violations of these regulations could result in termination of membership recruitment privileges.

Membership Intake

NPHC sororities and fraternities recruit members at various times of the year. Membership intake is advertised on campus through fliers labeled "Interest Meeting," "Informational," "Rush Tea" or "Meet N Greet." All students are welcome to attend these events and there is no cost to attend.

To learn more about APSU's NPHC chapters, interested students should plan to attend the NPHC Convocation during each semester ( September 7, 2017 and January 18, 2018).

Students interested in a specific chapter are advised to watch for membership intake flyers and learn about the organization on the chapter or national organization Web site. We encourage you to visit www.apsugreeks.com to learn more.
